Almost always, and it is a job we do often out here. We measure the opening as we actually find it rather than as it was meant to be, then shim, adjust and seal to it. Older barns and carriage buildings also need the track and the headroom checked first, because the door is only as good as what it hangs on.
The garage on my property has no heat. Does that matter?
It matters for springs. An unheated building swings through a much wider temperature range, and steel already near the end of its cycle life tends to fail on the first hard cold snap.
